Responsibilities
The Operations Support Specialist III (OSS) provides direct patient care support under the supervision of a licensed PT/OT or PTA/COTA (as allowable per state statutes), as well as prioritized administrative support to ensure seamless clinic workflow and operations.
Within the clinic, this role enables licensed clinical staff to focus on patient care and treatment; thereby improving their efficiency and productivity.
The role is optimized across the district, providing flexibility for Clinic Operations to mitigate predictable volume fluctuations (e.g. due to seasonality).
Training, education and/or experience lends to independence in supervision and instruction of prescribed clinical exercises and modalities.
Provides observational feedback regarding the patient's progress to the prescribing therapist. Assists in coordinating OSS staffing.
In-role mentorship for OSS I and II, including training and onboarding.
Partners closely with the Clinic Director and District Director to coordinate district OSS staffing assignments to meet labor needs for the POD.
Performs injury screens Where allowable by state practice acts, carries a treatment schedule under direct PT supervision.

Qualifications
Minimum Education
Required
Bachelors Degree in related field: health care or core sciences; or
Minimum experience as described below
Preferred
Masters Degree in related field: health care or core sciences
Doctorate in PT degree (not licensed)
Min Experience
Required:
2-3 years successful performance of OSS II level duties; or
Masters Athletic Training - plus 1 year of related experience; or
Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) and 0 years of additional related experience
Preferred:
- Basic clinical assessment and differential diagnosis
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Consistently drives performance across multiple Operations KPIs
Subject matter expert at the market and enterprise level regarding Operations services and specialties
Mentors/leads OSS 1&2
Proficient with scheduling – can independently maneuver the schedule to maintain clinic flow and seamless patient care experience
Adaptable and agile to support key Operations initiatives
